Day 1 Hanoi - Ba Be Lake (L/D)
This exotic journey to the Northeast begins as tourist depart from the hotel, tourists wil be driven up and pass through the undulating terrain of tea plantation in Thai Nguyen city. The group will make a stop for visiting and taking a break at the museum of Ethnology in Thai Nguyen city. Keep moving through many other timeless villages linked to the road which is the main artery of trade between the Northeast region and the capital city. This is the first glimpse of rural Vietnam and sets the tone for the days ahead.
Depends on traffic conditions, the group will arrive into Ba be lake about midday. After checking into ‘homestay’ in Pac Ngoi village with more than 40 traditional stilt houses located on the slope of the mountains surrounding Ba Be Lake which is highlighting the beauty of this famous location. Have free time to walk around this village of the Tay people. Dinner and overnight private room of homesay in Ba Be.
Day 2 Ba Be National Parke – Cao Bang (B/L)
AM: Boating into the three lakes of Ba Be. Discover the beauty of Ba Be lakes on the local canoes, the group get transfer to a boat doc, and then glide along the river and through the pretty cave.Have lunch in local restaurant.
PM: Drive through the well protected Ba Be National Park which is an abundant bio-reserved area, containing the world’s only fresh-water karst lake and several rare species of fauna and flora. The bio-diverse 10,048 ha park – home to 1,268 species of flora and fauna, a series of caves and a gigantic fresh water lake – was established in 1992 by the Vietnamese Government to preserve forest ecosystems in the northeast. Driver pick up at the center of the park, then the group hit the road again, and take a scenic 2.5 hour drive towards Cao Bang. Here the ethnic people of Hmong, Dao, Tho and Nung live together in harmony. Arrive in Cao Bang, hotel check in and free at leisure for discovering the city. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 3 Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfalls - Cao Bang (B/L)
After breakfast, depart toa local minority market (normally on weekends or every 5-10-20th day of the lunar calendar) before heading to Ban Gioc Waterfalls which is located between Vietnam and China Border and the multiple levels waterfall is set in a lush landscape (the level of water varies between seasons) . Discover the beautiful 800-meter long grottoes of Nguom Ngao before arriving at Ban Gioc Waterfalls. Return back to Cao Bang in the afternoon stopping, along the way, to visit the hundred-year old blacksmith Phuc Sen Village. Overnight in Cao Bang.
Day 4 Cao Bang - Hanoi (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel and then heading back to Ha Noi(on some of the same routes), tourists can stop for sightseeing en route and arrive to Hanoi around 5 p.m. Our adventure ends at the hotel.
